Chapter 6

Over the next few days Sam and Sarah went to school and came home. Always going to the door in the evening only for an hour at a time cause of the time difference. They did not realize they were being watched very carefully.

First there was Grandpa he always stayed there watching for their going and comings. Since the time was so short and nothing changed it did not affect their school work as they were just extra tired but no time lost. Grandma had no clue about the door or what was going on.

“I can not believe it is has been a full week since we started school.” Sam and Sarah were walking into the door again the suns still brightly shinning above them. “I know it has been. And we are still doing alright coming here and going there. Hope Grandma and Grandpa never notice.” Sarah replied staring at the beauty before them.

“I have noticed no matter how many times we come here it is never anything but sunny or at night clear. There is no rain, no wind. I am thinking this planet is so unlike our own. Does it not need water to keep it looking so healthy? Maybe we are missing the rains…” Sam said looking at the sky.

After an hour of being there as the suns began to set the kids stepped back through the door. What they did not realize was that there was Grandpa watching them. And even more so that the evil wizard had taken a notice to them.

The evil wizard lived on a hill opposite side of the castle on the other part of the planet. He was not just a wizard but a werewolf turning into a wolf every full moon. But due to the planets constant moons and sun he was a werewolf a lot more often then one on the earth would be. He hated humans and since their planet was nearly rid of all humans he wanted to rid it of any visitors. He had noticed the twins the first day they came and since then he has watched them far away on his hill. When they traveled he followed them on a dragon high in the sky. He noticed they did not go very far but were always staying close to their door.

“I have a goal now my dear dragon. These kids have been here almost a month off and on. I want them gone for good. I will kill them and then I will go to their world and kill all humans so we will never have visitors again. Sealing off the door so that none will come. I just need an army and a plan and I will do this!” He remarked to himself after the kids had left that night and he had seen them go.

Sam and Sarah were very excited for tomorrow was Saturday. “It is Saturday Sarah tomorrow. We can explore ALL day again and it wont matter on the time. Maybe even stay the night? We could even find the guide we need. I wonder what he or she will look like…” Sam smiled at her before turning off the light. “Yes Sam we should stay the whole day. Lets get up early and leave soon as possible. As always no one will notice us gone just got to sneak away for a minute.” And the room went dark.

Saturday morning came bright and early. It was almost sunny out even with the snow still fresh on the ground. The twins got up and got their breakfast before packing bags and all the needed for their stay again. Once Grandma and Grandpa had settled down by the tv the twins climbed the stairs to locate the door. As always it had moved but they found it quickly this time. “I have noticed the door looks different from the outside a bit then the regular bookshelf. For example the books on it are fake. You can not tell till you look at them but they are fake. And the titles give it away too. It always has books about fantasy stuff creatures, places, planets and things. Finally if you pull the red book on the top right that says “Here Thou Lies” it is the one that will pull the door open. It is not so hidden when you notice all these things.” Sarah was smiling at her brother. “I have noticed it too just cause you always open the door does not mean I do not see these things.” Sam replied picking up their stuff to climb in.

The wizard noticed the kids coming early that day and kept an extra careful eye on them from his castle. Flying on the dragon to watch them. For time might stand still on earth but time goes like normal on their planet.

While walking Sarah began to read from Grandpa’s journal. “Check out what I found last night while studying this. ‘If you want your guide to come to you, you must call for it to come by standing on the tallest hill or mountain you can find and yelling out “I need a guide please come to me” and one will come to you. Wait 10 minutes and if none has come try again. It should take no more then 2 times for the guide to come.’ So we just need to climb our hill and call for the guide to come. Lets just go to the hill we was at the other day.” Sarah began to walk straight for the hill while Sam colored the grass as always. They had hidden their stuff when they first arrived.

Climbing the hill took some time. It was slippery in some spot. “Look at that. I bet it actually did rain before we got here. Explains how wet it is. Or the ground is feeding itself. Haha.” Sam laughed while Sarah rolled her eyes. “I told you it might rain here sometimes. You are so funny with your joke.”

Once on the top of the hill Sarah decided to give it a try. She began to yell “I need a guide please come to me.” She repeated it three times in a row just incase. Then the twins waited for the guide to come.

What they did not expect was what would happen next. A winged horse flew up to them. It had to be a Pegasus for it was not a unicorn they do not have wings. “Hello little um what are you?” The Pegasus stopped its flight landing right by them on the rocks. “We are humans from the planet earth. We need a guide can you guide us around the land and bring us back end of day.” Sarah smiled at the horse with her beautiful innocent smile. “Yes little ma’am and sir I can guide you and bring you back every day that you need it. I only ask one thing in return…” He smiled at them with his horse like teeth. “I need an apple a day AND a good brushing at the end of it. That is all.” Sarah smiled at Sam. “Sure we have an apple with us and a brushing that should not be so bad. Let me see if I have a brush.” Sarah dug around till she recovered her brush she had thrown in for their stay there for the night. “Ah-huh. My brush! Okay we are all set. Do you have a name Pegasus?” Sarah was smiling up at the horse like creature again.

“My name is Sir P. Nothing else. And how may I guide you …?” “Oh that is right we did not introduce ourselves. My name is Sam and this is my sister Sarah we are twins. We would like a guide for the planet as much as possible each day just to get us back here safely we do not have another way to not get lost. Can you bring us back here each day alright that we come?” Sam was looking at his sister and back at Sir P. “Yes little sir and ma’am Sarah and Sam I can bring you back and fourth and tell you all about our beautiful world if you want to come with me now hope on board there is plenty of room. I can fit to full adults so two little kids should not be a problem at all.”

The twins climbed on board the Pegasus and he began to climb into the sky with wings so effortlessly that it was like walking quickly through the clouds.

“Welcome to our planet. We are hidden so no one can find us except but the “Secret Doors” we do not see more than a few humans per year usually adults sometimes kids and teens. Most do not find us as they are not well into finding things like this. So we find most people who find us are looking for an adventure so our doors are usually placed at random in places where people will find them but only those who will have interest. Your door has housed two great guys who both came with us and stayed off and on for a couple of years. They had many adventures with good and bad of our world. Our planet is called “Planet Blue” as the sky is clear and we rarely get rains they come only once or twice a month if that. So we are Planet Blue.”

The twins smiled at each other while they toured the part of the planet they could not see. “We will start young ones with this part of the world you have only seen from the ground I take it. There is the river it is called the “North River” and runs from the area near your door to the other side of our world curving several times and into several lakes. The lake closest to you is Mer-Lake. It is where the majority of our mermaids live. Although we have seen them pop up from time to time in our other lakes. They prefer this lake because it is farther away from the others and easier to relax in. They also use the rivers to swim to our seas that we have. If we have time today we will see one of them. We have a few seas that separate our land.”

Dipping below the clouds the Pegasus continued the journey. “And over here we can see the from here our Castle. It is where the few humans here actually live. Most have died out over the years only leaving about 100 humans here. They live in the castle area of the world which is actually an island and is not very close to here.”
